I went for a little walk today, and is often the case when I go for a little walk I ended up at a bookstore. Ok, so I actually went on this walk to go to Neighborhood Books because I hadn’t been in awhile.
Neighborhood Books is a mostly used bookstore in my neighborhood. Despite my love of Kindles I also love independent bookstores, so try and support them as much as I can by purchasing books that I don’t need but want to read.
I added three books to my very large pool of unread books:
- Tides of Light by Gregory Benford – I meant to buy a book by Greg Bear since he recently died, but I picked up this book thinking it was by Bear only to discover when I got home that it was by the other Greg B. Still looks interesting!
- A Burnable Book by Bruce Holsinger – I’m a sucker for a mystery set in medieval England.
- Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree – I’ve heard good things about this book and when I saw a new copy just sitting next to the cash register I couldn’t resist.
Who knows when I’ll get around to actually reading any of these books, but I can rest easy knowing I can start them whenever I want.
