Always own the means of production

I have no plans to leave Twitter, but it looks increasingly likely (though still unlikely) that Twitter will be leaving us! My internet pal Brent Simmons has some thoughts about the time After Twitter:

The internet’s town square should never have been one specific website with its own specific rules and incentives. It should have been, and should be, the web itself.

Everyone should start up a blog again. It is fun!

I’m enjoying blogging a little bit more around these parts, I must admit. Though it comes and fits and starts, but that’s ok. I really blog for myself, and if you’re reading this (for some reason) that’s just icing on the oatmeal cookie (I’ve been eating way too many of these as of late).
