Well, since the snow was forecast to fall fast and furious yesterday I thought it was high time that I purchase a pair of boots for just such weather. My plan was to wake up before the snow started and pick up some Rockport boots from the Florshiem that is close to my apartment.
By the time I got out of the door the snow was falling. So much for my first goal.
Much to my chagrin Florshiem only sells their own brand of shoes, and it has been like that for 4 years. I suppose I haven’t been shoe shopping in awhile. What was I to do?
I decided to head over to Lord and Taylor and see if they could help me out. The place was almost deserted, which means I got very good service. I was in luck, as not only did Lord and Taylor have booted that I took a shining to, but they were also on sale. I also bought a few t-shirts, some socks, and various sundry items.
