Cashier Love

I fall in love with cashiers too easily.

I don’t know what it is, but I always develop huge crushes on the cashiers at grocery stores. Or coffee shops. Or Indian food restaurants. Or Jewish bakeries.

Now that I am single myself, I am noticing that I am finding cashiers much cuter than they were a mere few months ago.

Just the other day I was in Borders (which isn’t where it is pictured anymore) purchasing Richard Cheese‘s newest CD and the cashier was quite amused by the CD, and some chit chat ensued.

Similairly I was at Barnes and Noble yesterday purchasing “Salt” by Mark Kurlansky, and the lovely cashier said, “I just read this. Excellent.” and I responded, “Good.”

After leaving the store, I realized I SHOULD have asked her if I could borrow her copy. Alas, hindsight is 20/20.
