Wow, Hotmail turned 10 this year. Hotmail (or HoTMaiL as it was known then) was my first exposure to web mail, in fact it was really the first web application that I used with any regularity.
Along with being my oldest continuous email address (I signed up for my Hotmail account on June 04, 1997, a little over 9 years ago!) it also inspired one of my favorite email sigs: Scott 'Hot Male' McNulty.
Ahh, those were the days of the innocent web before tagging, and Web 2.0. Back when you could give something away and still end up making millions (HoTMaiL was free and Microsoft paid millions and millions of dollars to buy it and turn it into Hotmail, which is still free).
