Whenever someone says that to me I know I'm not going to like where the conversation is going. Why? Because it never goes like this:
'You know who you remind me of Scott?'
'No.'
'A cross between Brad Pitt and Sir Isaac Newton.'
For example, the other day I was meeting with a consultant at work, someone I had met before. I was re-introduced to him and the woman re-introducing me said, 'Oh, you know Scott, right?'
The consultant replied, 'Of course I know, Scott. He always reminds me of Wayne Knight's character in Jurassic Park.'
Uuuh... what? You mean the fat, evil computer guy that shut down the Park's defenses so he could make some money and was directly responsible for dinosaurs being reintroduced into the wild and many deaths? That guy? Oh, consultant, you always know the right things to say.
After he said that there was an uncomfortable silence, which the consultant tried to fix by saying, 'No, I just mean he is always like, 'No one touch my systems!''
Ok, well that's much better than. Thanks, consultant!
