I don't know if I should be heartened or offended by the Why Geeks and Nerds Are Worth It... post on Craigslist. On the one hand this is a fairly impassioned plea to 'give geeks a chance,' however it the main benefit, so it seems, from dating a geek is that you can be sure they aren't looking at someone else because.. they're geeks.
As we all know, I'm a geek but I like art, the theater, museums, and strolls on the beach (ok, not so much the last one. I burn easily). I am not a stereotype!
Sure, I like Star Trek, computers, and technology in general, however I respect women not because I am a geek but because I'm a nice guy.
Is that so wrong?
